During this time more than one million customers have installed this successfully and 3 generations of Ph level.D. students examined their algorithms within the real world.
Tribler may be the first client which usually continuously improves on the aging BitTorrent process from 2001 plus addresses its imperfections. We expanded this with, amongst others, loading from magnet hyperlinks, keyword search for articles, channels and reputation-management. All these features are usually implemented in a totally distributed manner, not really relying on any central component. Still, Tribler manages to remain completely backwards compatible with BitTorrent.”
